Strypit paint and varnish remover stripper 250ml – for wood metal glass
Strypit is a non-caustic dichloromethane-free gel suitable for removing multiple coats of paints and varnishes applied to wood, metal, glass, stone and masonry surfaces. Strypit works best when applied liberally and allowed to penetrate after two applications. The gel consistency permits effective use on vertical surfaces.
Use appropriate personal protection including gloves and eye protection. Shake tin well and remove cap carefully holding the tin away from face. Brush on liberal coat with dabbing action. Leave until paint begins to soften or blistered, softened paint. Leave for a further 30 to 40 minutes. Remove the blistered, softened paint with a stripping knife or scraper (a plastic scraper will avoid damaging wood surfaces). If any paint or vanish remains, repeat the process. Use steel wool to remove paint from curved surfaces. Wash down the surface thoroughly with water and allow to dry completely. On wood, white spirit can be used to wash down to avoid raising the grain. On old paint or heavy applications Strypit can be left on longer to maximise penetration. The rate of coverage is approximately 5 square meters per litre
Cleaning up
Collect waste in newspaper and dispose of safely in dustbin. Clean brushes with warm soapy water. Store in a cool dry place with lid tightly closed away from sources of ignition. Protect from frost.
Not suitable on fibreglass, rubber and some plastics.
